Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed components inside a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the stove and let it to cool fully. Pour into an sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then filter it best through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into your stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate gently for a minute until cold. Strain to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
